This isn't rocket science - they are really bad players, there are probably a dozen minor leaguers in the system that are far superior to them. They belong in the bog of eternal stentch.

And out of those who really makes sense? You cant trade with the avs because Sakic wants the world. Miller and Schmidt probably dont cut it as top pairing guy for rielly. Pretty sure vatanen, dumba and brodin are all off the market now since the vegas draft is over.

One thing I do like about Hainsey is the versatility. He can play up and down the pairings and left and right side. I think most Pens fans would cringe though at seeing him top pairing.

Rosen, Borgman and Liljegren all starting on the Marlies would be great. They both signed two years deals so a year of Marlies was probably always the plan.

Meh nothing special hainsey... hated that signing because what if we make a significant trade for a defender? Would of liked the deal on a 1 year term

Hopefully borgman or rosen gets a spot on the roster for 3rd pairing.

I think Carrick is the real wild card back there this season. I liked his game last season but he didn't have enough trust from Babs not to get stapled to the bench at times.

He's only 23 though and has skills he could develop into a top 4 guy.

I wonder too who would play left side? Probably Hainsey. Rielly switches pretty easily. You never see Gardiner on the right.

Trouba is 22 and $5m cheaper for this year at least - if you target any Jet, you target him.
